Vegan Gluten-Free Deli Slices
- Extra firm tofu
- Tamari (or soy sauce if not gluten free)
- Liquid smoke
- Sage
- Majoram
- Nutmeg
- Thyme
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Salt

- Rosemary
- Finely chopped dried pepper or red pepper flakes
- Finely chopped basil
- Coarse pepper
How to Make This Recipe
- Preheat oven to 450 degree Fahrenheit. Pat tofu with a paper towel to remove excess water (or use a tofu press).
- Add all ingredients except toppings to a food processor, a blender (or use a hand blender) and blend until smooth.
- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and dump the mixture onto the sheets, dividing the mixture evenly between the two baking sheets. Smooth out with a spatula.
- Add another sheet of parchment on top of the smoothed out mixture and roll until mixture is evenly thin (approximately 1/8 of an inch. Do not roll too thin or they will crack during baking). Repeat for second sheet. Remove the top sheets of parchment paper.
- Sprinkle each flattened mixture with the spice toppings and bake for 15 minutes or until firm and slightly brown on top.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Optional: Cut deli meat into desired shapes using a large round cookie cutter, or cut into squares or strips with a knife. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
