Smoky Maple Tofu Sandwich
Quick and healthy, this California-inspired vegan Smoky Maple Tofu Sandwich has sprouts, tomato, cucumber and vegan mayonnaise.

Smoky Maple Tofu
- 2 slices firm tofu 3/4 of inch thick each
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
Sandwich
- 2 slices vegan bread
- 1/2 tomato sliced
- 1/4 cucumber sliced
- 1/4 cup alfalfa sprouts
- handful spinach optional
- 1-2 Tbsp vegan mayonnaise spread
Smoky Maple Tofu
Heat up a small pan on the stovetop to medium heat.
Cut 2 slices from a block of firm tofu. (Make your slices approximately 3/4 of an inch thick)
Add maple syrup, liquid smoke and soy sauce to a bowl and whisk together.
Place your tofu slices in the pan and pour the marinade over top, flipping tofu a few times to ensure both sides are evenly covered.
Cook each side for 3 minutes or until golden brown on each side.
Sandwich
Toast your bread if desired.
Add your sliced veggies, sprouts and tofu slices to your bread.
Add a spread of vegenaise to your sandwich.
Assemble your sandwich, cut in two and enjoy!
