Baked Turnip Fries with Spicy Mayo

Baked Turnip Fries
- 2 turnips peeled and cut into matchsticks
- 2 Tbsp canola oil (or avocado oil)
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
Spicy Mayo Sauce (Vegan)
- 3 Tbsp Vegenaise
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Baked Turnip Fries
Preheat oven to 425 F.
Put the baking sheet in the oven to preheat.
Rinse turnips and dry. Cut off the top and bottom of the turnip and peel the tough outer skin.
Cut turnips into matchsticks.
Add the turnips, paprika and salt to a mixing bowl and toss until all the turnips are coated.
Drizzle in the oil and stir until turnip is coated.
Place turnips on the (preheated) baking sheet in an even layer (do not overlap).
Bake for 15 minutes and then stir. Bake more until the fries have reached your desired level of crispiness (approximately 10 more minutes).
Sprinkle finished fries with a pinch of salt and serve with spicy mayo dipping sauce.
Spicy Mayo Sauce (Vegan)
in a small bowl add 3 heaping tablespoons of Vegenaise.
Add salt, paprika, red chilli flakes and garlic powder.
Stir. Add more salt and seasoning to taste.
